I agree. Though frankly, seeing how Sun is still struggling with adjusting to Moon, I dont think that a Reset Eclipse would be given a fair chance, ESPECIALLY by Sun, Monty, and Lunar.

But even the thought of Eclippse being redeemed feels off to me…

I came around with KillCode turning good SURPRISINGLY quickly. Like maybe it’s just me, but with KillCode I got the vibe of “I’ve literally never experienced good before maybe I should change”. And dont get me wrong, I firmly believe that anyone can change, which I think is WHY I was okay with KillCodes redemption.

But with Eclipse, I just dont know if I feel the same…. I dont want to think “Eclipse doesnt deserve to change after all hes done” because that goes against my values. But Eclipse HAS done a LOT of harm and has been given chances that he refused.

Hey. Why isn’t the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isn’t that fucked up? Does anyone else think that’s absurd?

It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!

It’s July 20th. That’s the day of the moon landing. Next year is going to be the 54th anniversary. I’m ordering astronaut shaped cookie cutters on Etsy and I’m going to have a goddamn potluck. You’re all invited.

Speaking of Lunar, does anyone else kinda feel like he just ended up replaced?

I mean dont get me wrong, I LOVE Earth to pieces and she has done nothing but good for the boys. But it almost feels like the show is trying to make us forget about Lunar and use Earth as the only "other sibling" for the family dynamic. Like I've been SLOWLY catching up with the lore and Monty said it'd take a month to get Lunar fixed, and that episode was WELL over a month ago.

Earth is amazing, but it kinda feels like she's been established as "the sibling" in a far quicker and definitive way than Lunar was, and with how long Lunars been gone (especially with how horrific his death really was) it just kinda feels like the show is trying to say "Eh you dont need Lunar, you've got Earth now!"

Lunar’s brought up many times and there was recently a whole episode dedicated to the Puppet having to use an alternative method to go to space and get him to avoid Eclipse in the Monty and Foxy show.

Why it’s taking so long is because they’re likely making their own, newer, VR model for Lunar or waiting on a response from someone with a model they want to use to get back to them.

The Security Breach shows have learned what happens when they just use character models made by other people without permission.

Which is why while Lunar has already finished being reconstructed we haven’t seen him outside of alternate universe versions just yet.

Okay, I havent gotten that far yet but that makes me feel better…. I love my Earth queen and miss my bitty beanbag baby.

Just to contrast with Moon and show the two sides to living with amnesia and the living with the full weight of what you’ve done but still overcoming it.

Especially since Moon forgot everything and, while better for it, expresses how he wishes he didn’t have to also lose the GOOD memories too and is STILL impacted by all the wrong he’d done despite not remembering it.

He forgot Lunar, after all.

I personally would prefer that Sun DOESN’T reset and heals properly, but with all the weight he’s been caring it almost feels mean to say….

Also I was hoping Moon didnt die/reset way back when so now I have trouble hoping for anything

Gregory is ABSOLUTELY NOT EVIL. Not in any way. But personally I DO think he tows the line into jerkass territory a bit.

I mean, Freddy tells the kid that these are his friends and theres something wrong with how they're acting, and Gregory IMMEDIATELY scraps those friends without a single thought of "maybe we can get them back to normal", because its "what they deserve" for going after him. And then he takes it a step farther by cannibalizing the people that Freddy clearly cares about, to upgrade Freddy for no clearly established reason when Freddy is little more than willing, only to dance around/avoid telling the truth to the ONE PERSON he trusts and cares about.

Like dont get me wrong, I do NOT hate Gregory or think he should be considered evil. The kid's clearly had a hard time of it and they all WERE after him with the intent of harm.

But I also think Gregory could have been explained or developed a little better, cuz frankly he's kind of a dick

I hate that I really keep having to say this to people. Gregory is fairly average in terms of what a middleschooler is like… Everyone forgets what it’s like being that age, and Gregory really has no guidance other then Freddy, who can only help him to a certain extent.

I don’t think Gregory needs a complex motive for what he does. What do we know about Gregory’s motives?

1. According to cut lines from Vanny, he’s here looking for his friends.
2. Him being trapped in the pizzaplex and homeless and squatting in is also a motive enough… Like Gregory HAS NO PARENTS OR GUARDIANS OTHER THAN FREDDY to really tell him what’s right from wrong here. And Freddy doesn’t really help that much other than going “These are my friends…” and “I could open this gate if I had monty’s claws” “if I had chicas voice box i could open this door” and… oh yeah “Maybe you’ll find a way to deal with Roxy when you are there” We don’t have evidence that any other of the animatronics besides Freddy are sentient.
3. Gregory NOT listening to Freddy is often beneficial at points. Freddy is the only one Gregory has, while Gregory sees him as a safe place, it has been SUPER consistent in that game that Gregory doesn’t really listen to Freddy when it matters. Sure, Gregory will listen to Freddy on things like, how to navigate areas of the pizzaplex, tips for where Exits are, where to go next, how the Security Badges work, because it’s all unfamiliar to Gregory and he is lost and needs the guidance But in other instances… if Gregory REALLY wants to do something. He’ll do it. Like every average middle schooler. And often times, Gregory not listening is beneficial. LIKE LITERALLY if the Princess Quest Ending is canon in any AU like mine is, the Princess Quest ending ONLY occurs when Gregory DIRECTLY goes against Freddy’s wishes and doesn’t listen to him. Freddy wants you to turn the bots against Vanny….. but if you DON’T listen to Freddy and play the last princess quest game, you free Vanessa’s soul and stop the glitch…. Which people often call the “best” ending since you free Her and the plex. Oh yeah, and other endings like the Car ending… Gregory doesn’t listen to Freddy again, and takes Freddy with him rather then leave him behind and Freddy usually turns out okay. PLUS GREGORY WOULD HAVE NEVER MET FREDDY IF HE WENT INTO THE UNSAFE PLAY AREA OF HIS STOMACH HATCH WHEN HE WAS PASSED OUT TO HIDE FROM VANESSA IN THE FIRST PLACE. I think Gregory does the right balance of listening and not listening to Freddy. He actually behaves like an actual child! And I actually Like that Gregory takes initiative to decommission the animatronics that are chasing him and are super aggressive.
4. The Glamrocks have legit killed other children and employees. Possibly even Gregory’s friends that he’s looking for…
5. There is an entire wall in the “Sister Location Room” that gives explicit instructions on how to run and jump and shoot and avoid the animatronics.
6. Yes, while… Gregory did not need to go out of his way to Decommission all of them (especially chica or monty depending on your run through if you stay after 6am and decommission all three) And yes… Gregory COULD have theoretically stayed in Freddy’s room all night after he retrieves him from Parts and Service…. but then we wouldn’t have a videogame. Well, we could, but it would mean half of the game would be open world, then the other half would default to fnaf1 gameplay. Like he could have stayed in the Daycare or in Freddy’s room, but he probably would have been found by Vanessa or someone eventually, and I don’t think it would make for an interesting videogame to play.

Like, I love the fandom, and I love how so much of us have humanized the animatrioncs.

BUT FROM GREGORY’S POINT OF VIEW…

There is no evidence that any one of the animatronics other then Freddy are sentient. Like take off your “I love robots” and/or “I love the animatronics” and/or “Im a furry” glasses bias for FIVE seconds… and pretend you’re… neutral on them… I’m sure Gregory isn’t thinking of “how can I stop them without hurting them” …. like… at all.

And even if the animatronics ARE sentient and are killing children and employees against their will…

THEY ARE STILL KILLING PEOPLE.

And they have killed people, and they are hunting him. And will continue to hurt other people if Gregory doesn’t do something. Which we learn is one of Gregory’s motivations in the game in general

“If I leave now nothing will change will it, they’ll be more disappearances”

I honestly feel that this line makes the “they get what they deserve” a little more justified in my eyes. And even up till that point… all of them have been super aggressive and chasing him all over the place.

Plus Empathy is a learned trait, and it’s hard to develop empathy for something that is actively hunting you and is basically, a cold unfeeling murderous robots in his eyes that are aggressively chasing him all night.

Especially with how Gregory talks to Freddy about Decommissioning his friends.

(but it’s not like Freddy tries to talk to his friends when you get close to them inside of Freddy like “hey, why are you hunting this kid?” or… “hey what is up bandmates… can’t wait to get gregory” )

But From Gregory’s point of view, I think he is justified, and in Twin Animatronics… Gregory does have character development in the background to understand that “hey, the other animatronics are actually people and maybe I should start treating them better rather then just pieces of parts for Freddy”

I’m sick of these two polar extremes where “Gregory did nothing wrong” or “Gregory did some things wrong”

…I honestly think. With the knowledge the that Gregory knows… and being 12 and doing his best to survive…

He did the absolute best that he could given the circumstances.

And I’ll just share a little of @witchysolfan ’s thoughts on the matter.

I know I repeat a lot of myself here. I just had to get this all out.

Anyway. Love Gregory.

I do not think he’s a uwu baby who did nothing wrong… But for all the information Gregory had at the time, and the age range he is, he made the correct choice based on all the information he knew at the time…. And in Twins… He’ll learn more, and maybe possibly talk and apologize to the Glamrocks he broke (if all the Glamrocks weren’t avoiding him like the plague right now due to trauma)

The building and Peepaw burning is the canon ending of the game (of the GAME. I personally choose Princess Quest as my canon end) and is what the Ruin DLC is based off of

Cause the Pizzaplex is under reconstruction and having a lot of it rebuilt after what looks like massive fire damage.

Plus all the Glamrocks, on top of looking WORSE, are missing the same main parts of their bodies along with the additional damage they’ve recieved.

Am I exaggerating whenever I say that Sun will “off” himself?

I see so many signs that the show’s plot is going in this direction.. and yet I feel like I’m in minority…

Most people tend to focus more on Eclipse and his issues… Yeah, he needs therapy.. but no one can force him to change. He have to want that even if no one would forgive him or no one would like him. It might be harder to want to change but.. it’s important to remember that we should always change for ourselves, for our own mental health etc. Eclipse shouldn’t take things for granted because this is where the issue lays…

Anyway.. I didn’t want to talk about Eclipse. It irks me that people tend to babify Eclipse and vilify Sun at the same time. I guess someone has to be a villain?/s But it frustrates me that people saw that Eclipse is su*c*dal and didn’t see that with Sun! They saw it only when it was explicitely pointed out!

I know people probably like Eclipse more than Sun. If not.. Sun’s fans are probably hidden somewhere..?

Anyway.. that’s not what I wanted to talk about either.

I wanted to point out some of the signs that show really is going with Sun will “off” himself plot:

• despite the obvious fact that Sun truly believes that he made everything worse there are also things like:
• Earth’s comment about Sun’s cat liking her so much - Sun may feel like even his cat doesn’t love him;
• Earth’s comment about her anxiety and lower self-esteem due to feeling unsure if she’s helpful enough etc. - Sun may feel the need to support her more and shove away his own problems which will result with him not wanting to open up to Earth to not burden her further;
• Moon’s obliviousness to Sun’s struggles - Sun may feel like no one really cares about him;
• Moon’s quick dismiss of Sun’s idea about what to do with Eclipse - Sun may feel like he’s efforts are nothing which alongside with
• Moon doing most of the tough, important things - reinforces Sun’s feelings of being useless and stupid;
• Moon obliviousness to the whole situation with that “fangirl” - Sun may feel like Moon doesn’t care about him or that his struggles are completely invisible;
• Existence of “fans” like that “fangirl” - Sun said “so you’re this type of fan” - did he met more fans like her? I’m assuming that yes, he did. - Sun may feel like fans not only doesn’t like him but they hate him and either they want him gone or like seeing him suffer which he knows from comments on YT and Discord;
• Being left alone with computer often time because Earth is in her room and Moon is going to do most of things needed to help with Eclipse’s and creator’s situations - computer’s attitude towards Sun may worsen his mental state.

All of those things are so little and so easy to go unnoticed but it doesn’t mean that they don’t hurt Sun. And it’s even worse in Earth’s and Moon’s cases because Sun knows that they care! How much easier it would be if they didn’t… How much easier it would be to let go… But they care! They care.. and yet.. they seem so oblivious to Sun’s struggles and suffering. Which only fuels su*c*dal thoughts and feeling of unbearable pain..!

I really wish that Sun won’t kill himself.. or even try to… But the signs are there.. and they’re painfully obvious… And yet not many people seem to notice that.. or maybe they don’t care… ; ;

People only seem to care about other characters. “Where is Lunar?” “Oh no, Moon will sacrifice himself again!” “Eclipse is su*c*dal…” “I want Bloodmoon back!” And also the fact some of the fans left or were saying that show is badly written when show started focusing more on Sun’s issues.. doesn’t help to shaken off the feeling that people don’t like Sun that much…

I know that people can like whoever they want.. but the lack of understanding of Sun’s issues is unnerving… I still see that people only focus on Sun’s “anger issues” even if it’s the least concerning issue of all! It’s tiring.. it’s just tiring…

Oh I fully noticed all the little signs. When I summed up the show I made sure to put big emphasis on Sun feeling suicidal.

No doubt he’s going to volunteer to be the conduit for the star energy that will likely die in Moon’s place

I really hope he doesn’t end up dying tho but he likely will cause everybody seems to have to die at least once in SAMS ;w;

I’ve been concerned about this since he went off to destroy Eclipse….

Sun has felt useless and a burden for the ENTIRE show. He even tells Moon “let me do something for once” because he doesnt think hes done any good. And incidentally, the show hasnt LET Sun do much to solve the issues. The only plot/resolution thing Sun has been allowed to do is expel Eclipse from his head, and even then he had to mess up the spell. So when he went off to destroy Eclipse, I thought he would get a chance to save Moon from his head and stop KillCode.

Instead, Sun PERMANENTLY CRIPPLES his brother, is PREVENTED FROM RESTORING his brothers escape route, and winds up being the lynchpin of the temporary death of not one but BOTH OF HIS BROTHERS.

Now obviously I do not blame Sun for Moons reset or Lunars death, but the fact is that they were in those positions of vulnerability from Suns actions. The show LITERALLY has prevented Sun from making things better, and instead forced him to be the crux of what makes things worse.

Sun was in a bad place before he went to destroy Eclipse. He was getting worse with every episode. And instead of giving Sun a break, he now has EVEN WORSE, EVEN MORE SOUL-CRUSHING GUILT to put on himself. I’m honestly surprised hes only NOW gotten legit suicidal.

This isn’t fair to Sun, its never been fair to Sun. And I used to think that this all had a purpose. That this was leading up to a major character development were Sun could FINALLY start the long healing process. But after having to quit the show for MONTHS due to my mental health, I dont know if I can trust them anymore to take care of the characters. I dont trust that they’re gonna let Sun heal before they destroy all that’s left of him.

I am legit scared that Sun isnt going to make it…..
